Picture this: You are running your very own Christmas Campaign and it becomes successful - you get a boost of sales or you increase the reach on your social media account.
But there's only one problem : You see other florists and business owners on their social media running marketing campaigns specifically for Christmas and the holiday season. Everyday they seem to churn out content and offers to get more sales and grow their accounts. And you are sitting there thinking what to do and how to do it. Putting it all together seems so overwhelming.
So In today's podcast I unwrap the secrets to planning how to run a ‘12 days of Christmas’ to either boost your sales and profits or increase your followers. Get your pen and notepad and get ready to make notes so you don’t miss out any of the steps of this wonderful process.

Let’s get started with this episode and run through the process.
Step 1: Setting your goals:
Before we dive, let's talk about why running a holiday campaign is a game-changer for your brand. Are you looking to spread cheer, boost your sales, increase brand awareness or maybe just share the holiday spirit and increase engagement on social media? Setting the goal is so important because this can help you craft your campaign in the best way. Don’t forget to think of your target audience and your ideal customer. If you offer flower installations and weddings, think of brides who are looking for this service or information around this.
Step 2: Choose your theme:
Choose your festive theme so it matches your campaign and aligns with your brand. Think how your products or services can be tied into the theme and what you can promote across the different days. If you are raising brand awareness you may want to release 12 blogs, if you want to get more sales you will want to create 12 offers.
Step 3. Create a Content Calendar:
Plan out each day of your campaign. Decide on the type of content you'll share and what promotions and giveaways or discounts you are going to offer. It could also be informational if your goal is to increase your brand awareness. Use a mix of images, videos and promote using reals and stories too. It’s really important to create a calendar to stay organised, avoid overwhelm and stay consistent.
Step 4. Craft Compelling Content:
During the build up to Christmas there are so many other flower businesses running campaigns too and there's so much noise so you need to think how you will stand out from the crowd and create something different. Spend time and create high-quality and appealing content for each day. Remember to include great graphics, videos and blog posts
Step 5. Incorporate Giveaways and Contests:
Christmas is the time for giving and this makes it an ideal time for giveaways and contests. You can encourage participation and boost engagement by having your followers share your content and tag their friends. Don’t forget to use specific hashtags to help you get more reach. 6. Email Marketing: If you have an email list, promote your offers to the people on your email list. You can schedule emails to your subscribers with details about juicy information or details of the deal of the day. Again get noticed and your emails opened with enticing subject lines.
Step 7. Collaboration:
Collaborating with influencers or other businesses within your industry can do wonders for you and can help to extend the reach of your campaign. By cross promoting you can reach new audiences but be sure their brand aligns with your brand values and target consumers. Otherwise you will not attract the right clients. If you’re a wedding florist you can collaborate with any other wedding service provider - cake maker, stationer, DJ, venue, planner, jeweller, MUA.
Step 8. Limited-Time Offers:
If you are selling a product or have created an offer you can create a sense of urgency by incorporating limited-time offers. Everyday you need to highlight the exclusivity of day's deal to use a strong call to action asking them to make that purchase or signup to the newsletter or follow the accounts. Remember the action needs to align with your goal that you set in step 1.
Step 9. Track and Analyze:
To measure your success of the goal you setup in step 1 you need to use the analytics function on your social media. See what your engagement has gone up by, track sales if you are selling or anything else to make sure you are assessing the success on each day.
Step 10. Engage with Your Audience:
Whilst you are running your campaign you need to be responding to comments and messages on your posts and stories. This will create a sense of community and connection with the audience. This will really help to boost engagement and followers on your account.
That's a wrap and I hope you found this step by step process helpful and you are now inspired to create your own campaign for Christmas.
